Introduction

Nestle India Limited is the Indian subsidiary of Nestle .Nestle started its business in India in 1912 as “The NESTLÉ Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company (Export) Limited''. After Independence of India, the company incorporated in India in 1959. Nestle produces milk products such as dairy whitener, condensed and toned milk, yoghurt, milk-based formula foods etc. Nestle also produces noodles, sauces, seasonings, pasta and ready to eat cereals, instant coffee and tea powders. It also produces ready to drink beverages and confectionery. Nestle India manufactures international quality products under popular brand names such as Necafe, Maggi, Milky Bar, Kit Kat, Bar One, Milkmaid and Nestea. Recently Nestle India has also introduced daily consumption products like Nestle Milk, Nestle Slim Milk, Nestle Dahi and Nestle Jeera Raita. Nestlé India also exports its products. Currently , Nestle India has its head Office at Gurgaon, India with 9 manufacturing units and 4 branch offices employing over 8000 people.

Nestle India Moves In 2023:

February 2024

Nestle India has partnered with Social and Boss burger to launch a trial of Maggi Professional's plant-based meals. These menu options are available in The New Irresistible Menu.

Nestle India has planned to invest Rs.6000 crore - Rs.6500 crore by 2025. This investment amount is more than what Nestle has invested in India till its inception. 

Nestle India has announced a dividend of Rs.7 per equity share. Currently, the face value of Nestle India share is Rs.1.

Nestle India has reported its Q4FY2023 results with a rise in net profit by 4.4% to Rs.655.6 crore. 

January 2024

On 5th January 2024, Nestle India divided its stocks in 1:10 ratio. Hence, the Nestle India share price face value of Rs.10 will be split into 10 shares with Nestle India share price face value of Rs.1 per equity share.

November 2023

Nestle India has announced its second interim dividend of Rs.140 per equity share .

Nestle India is planning to go coal free and furnace oil free by next year as an initiative to reduce air pollution. The company is on the move to start plant-based protein product production. For the past 3 years, Nestle India has been plastic neutral by recycling its plastics.

October 2023

Nestle India released its Q3FY2023 results, in which the net profit of the company has grown to 37.3% on year-on-year basis to Rs.908 crore . Its consolidated revenue increased to 9.5% on a year-on-year basis to Rs.5036 crore. This is the first time that Nestle has reported in any of its quarters to cross Rs.5000 crore . Nestle India's EBITDA increased by 21.3% at Rs.1225 crore. It also recorded total sales growth of 9.4% with its domestic sales growth was 10.3%.

Nestle India has planned to increase its sales through online commerce platforms. 

September 2023

Nestle India Limited introduced Nestlé a+ Masala millet as a new product offering aligning with the Indian government’s emphasis on promotion of millet as a sustainable food option.

August 2023

Internshala , a career tech firm  partners with Nestle India to launch NESTERNSHIP 2023. Its aim is to involve young individuals actively by offering them into the FMCG sector.

July 2023

Nestle India has received approval to set up its 10th food processing unit at Odisha at an investment of Rs. 894.10 crore. This comes as a part of Nestle India's investment of Rs.4200 crore till 2025, to grow its presence in semi urban and rural areas through RURBAN strategy. NESmitra, a customer ordering app, is being used in RURBAN markets to enhance retailer-distributor connections.

Nestle India has changed its financial year from calendar year to April - March cycle. 

Following this change, Nestle India has released its July results, where the company's net has risen by 36.86% of Rs 698.34 crore. Revenue from operations has risen to 15% on a year-on-year basis and domestic sales growth also grew to 14.6% on a year-on-year basis.
