JSW Group Moves In 2025 & 2026

JSW Group moved forward steadily from October 2025 to February 2026, focusing on the increase in steel production, infrastructure funding approvals, and long-term expansion strategies. The major highlights remained operational improvements and strategic investments in its subsidiaries.

JSW Infrastructure's board approved the issuance of funds through up to 25 crore equity shares to fuel a Rs.39,000 crore capex expansion drive towards 400 MTPA port capacity. JSW Steel expected BF3 recommissioning by the end of Q4 FY26, indicating a return to normal production levels. JSW Cement registered a 13% increase in net sales to Rs.1,621 crore in the December quarter.

January 2026

Group crude steel production marginally reduced to 24.75 lakh tonnes, impacted by the continuation of Vijayanagar BF3 shutdown and US maintenance, while Indian production remained stable at 24.58 lakh tonnes. JSW Infrastructure reported robust Q3 performance, handling 31.7 million tonnes of cargo (up 8% YoY) and acquiring rail logistics assets for Rs.1,212 crore to improve connectivity. JSW Defence marked the beginning of its next-gen UAS manufacturing facility in Hyderabad with a $90 million investment to manufacture V-BATs in the domestic market.

December 2025

JSW Steel's crude steel production in Q3 FY26 rose 6% to 7.48 million tonnes, contributing to a nine-month cumulative output of 22.65 million tonnes, up 12%, but impacted by caster renovation works from mid-December. JSW Energy announced a fund raiser of up to $1.11 billion through securities issuance and appointed a new CFO, effective January 2026.

November 2025

The company continued its positive performance with a 5% increase in crude steel production to 24.39 lakh tonnes, including 23.61 lakh tonnes from Indian operations at 84% capacity utilization despite the furnace maintenance.

October 2025

JSW Steel recorded an increase of 9% in its consolidated crude steel production to 24.95 lakh tonnes, with 24.12 lakh tonnes in India during the period, with Vijayanagar Blast Furnace 3 shut down for upgrades, aiming for 4.5 MTPA capacity restoration by February 2026. However, JSW Steel's capacity utilization in India dropped to 83%, but without the impacted furnace, it stood at 92%.

JSW Group Moves In 2023-2024:

A special initiative package has been approved by the Odisha government for the establishment of a massive EV and EV battery manufacturing project by JSW Group.

Through private sector participation in defence sector, Indian Government has allowed JSW Group participation in building defence sector.

JSW Group has initiated personalized solutions for the MSME sector. The company has invited the MSMEs to examine the company's services that are directly available for MSMEs like preferential pricing of steel products, Pan India services for steel network, MSME meetings, Learning & development and just in time supplies.
