Vintron Informatics was incorporated as Vintron Industries on August 6, 1991 and got its present name on October 26, 1999. It is part of the Vintron group based in Delhi with business interests in software and hardware.

The company had brand names like Elixir HomePC 3000 and Elixir Home PC to its credit and has tie-ups with Hewlett Packard, Viewsonic and Logitech. Activities at the software division at Parwanoo and Daman units have been discontinued.

On the basis of the audited financial results for the financial year ended March 31, 2003, Vintron Informatics has become a sick industrial company and is under the perusal of the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR). The interim order from DRT, Delhi restraining the company from dealing with any of the assets, movable and immovable is still continuing, leading thereby to a situation where almost the entire operations of the company is stalled.
