Thacker and Company was established in 1878 as a financing company to cater the needs of private & public Limited Companies, proprietary & partnership firms in terms of granting loans & advances. It has over the tide of time expanded into a five-fold scope of operations, which are known as the Thacker 5.

Thacker and Company now owned by the Jatia Group is holding company of Fujisan Technologies Ltd launched in 2004 and Cakesmiths in 2014.
