Switching Technologies Gunther was incorporated on April 27, 1988. It is promoted by M N Kannan and his associates alongwith  W Gunther GmbH, West Germany. It engages in the manufacture and export of reed switches for the automobile, power, telecommunication, aircraft and industrial control industries. The registered office of the company is at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

 The company has set up a plant with a capacity to produce16 million Miniature Reed Switches and 1.95 million Tilt Switches per annum.

The company is a 100% EoU and has a buy-back arrangement with its promoter company W. Gunther, Nuremberg, Germany. The manufacturing unit is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu with installed capacities of 5,00,000 relays and 16.03 million reed switches. The company`s products are exported to the European markets and have received a good response from them.
