Sri Ramakrishna Mills (Coimbatore) (SRML) was incorporated in 1946 as a public limited company. SRML started commercial operation in 1951 at the Ganapathy unit in Tamil Nadu.

In 1984, the company has started a second unit at Nagari, Andhra Pradesh and later a third unit at Sathyamangalam, Tamil Nadu. It is a member of the South India Textile Research Association.

The registered office of the company is situated at No 3 Bhavani River Street, Ariappampalayam, Sathyamangalam Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu- 638402.
