The mill with a standing of more than 40 years has spinning, weaving, processing, bleaching, dyeing and printing in the same premises. It is located in the heart of Mumbai. Chairman and Managing Director S R Damani took over the management of this company from Forbes Forbes Campbell & Co. in the year 1960.

Simplex exports grey blended fabrics to reputed buyers in Europe and also supplies to exporters of ready-made garments. The company's industrial fabric division is situated at Akola in Maharashtra and paper division in Gondia near Nagpur, Maharashtra.
