In due course, the company got registered as a Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC) Non- Deposit accepting (ND-Non SI) under the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1932 on May 2, 1998. The company was promoted & managed by 7 promoters in 1981. In the year 2011, the company was taken over by Marigold Investrade a SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) of Sangam Group of Companies, through an open offer, with an intention to trigger, new energy and enthusiasm and to redefine the path of progress of the company.

The securities of the company are listed on the Calcutta Stock Exchange (CSE) & Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
