Quantum Digital Vision (India) was originally incorporated as a private company on April 21, 1980 and was converted into a public limited company on February 02, 1986. Earlier known as Quantum Industries (India), it got its present name with effect from January 15, 2001.
The company has a unit manufacturing polymer bags with a capacity of 2,500 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) in the Raigad district of Maharashtra,. It also has a unit at Attipattu in Tamil Nadu with capacity to manufacture leaf springs for the automotive sector, which is inactive at present. As part of diversification, it ventured into the media industry by obtaining industrial status from Government of India.
It started providing content and software to satellite channels and undertook production of serials, episodes, soap operas with major channels like Sahara and others.
The registered office of the company is located at 143, Attipattu Village, Ponneri Taluka, Chennai-601203, Tamil Nadu. It is suspended from the BSE on account of non-compliance with listing agreement clauses.
