Prag Bosimi Synthetics was incorporated in 1987. The company is a joint venture project of Assam Industrial Development Corporation and the Bombay Silk Mills.

The company’s plant is located at Khandajan in Darrang district in Assam. The company is a 100% export oriented textile division with facilities for texturising, twisting and dyeing of polyester filament yarn (PFY).

Prag Bosimi Synthetics has a technical collaboration with EMS Inventa AG of Switzerland.
