Morganite Crucible India was incorporated on January 13, 1986.  It obtained a certificate of commencement of business from the Registrar of Companies, Bombay on May 21, 1986. The company has been promoted by Greaves Cotton & Company and Morganite Crucible, U.K.

Morganite Crucible (India) supplies crucibles. The company manufactures foundry products and equipments for temperature measurement, control of chemical composition and molten metal management. It produces furnaces for melting & holding metals and alloys. The company offer gas/oil furnaces, electric furnaces, dual energy furnaces, electric ladles and retrofit kits In terms of an agreement, Greaves Cotton & Company holds 24% and Morganite Crucible has 28% of the issued share capital of the company.

The company entered into a technical knows how agreement with Morganite Crucible, through which it was to provide engineering assistance and help to enable the company to fully absorb the exclusive technology. It also trained qualified personnel from the company at its works and was to provide information on the methods and techniques used by it in the manufacture of silicon carbide crucibles. Further, Morganite Crucible was to send its technologists to the company's plant for consultation as required.  It would also give advice for setting up R & D unit in the company. The technical assistance provided by Morganite Crucible would be free of any royalty or fee. The company has its manufacturing unit at Aurangabad district of Maharashtra with installed capacities of 3,600 MT silicon carbide crucibles, 1,000 MT clay graphite crucibles and 400 MT accessories.

The registered office of the company is located at B-11, MIDC Industrial Area, Waluj, Aurangabad- 431136, Maharashtra.
