Morgan Ventures was originally incorporated as a private company in the name of Green Dot Consultants on October 23, 1986. The company changed its name to Doogar & Associates in the year 1991. Again in the year 1992, the company converted into a public company and deleted the word private from its name with the approval of Registrar of Companies (ROC), Delhi and Haryana. Since then, the company is enjoying the status of public company.

In the year 2000, the company was taken over by the present management after complying the Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) (Substantial Acquisition of shares and takeover regulation) 1997, by the Goyal Group headed by S C Goyal. Goyal is a BE (Electrical Engineering), with masters degree from Massachusetts (USA) and an industrialist with rich experience of more than 25 years in the industrial gases field. He is the chairman cum director of Morgan Ventures.

In the year 2004, the company changed its name from Doogar Associates to Morgan Ventures. The company is a listed company and the shares of the company are listed and traded on the Bombay Stock exchange (BSE).

The company in FY 2002 had acquired a 1.13 MW windfarm located in Tamil Nadu. It is in the process of setting up 31 new wind mills of 225 KW each at villages Alagneri & Sadayneri in district Tirunellavelli and villages Narnapuram and Munduvellampatti, in district Erode in Tamil Nadu with an installed capacity of 6.975 MW. The power generated shall be supplied to the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board. Morgan Ventures has decided to set up these wind farms under its divisions namely “Kanyakumari Wind Farm” and “Erode Wind Farm”.
