HB Leasing and Finance Company Limited was incorporated on March 13, 1982 for carrying on the activity of proprietory investment in stocks and securities and is a registered Non Banking Financial Company (NBFC) with the Reserve Bank of India.

The main object of the company is to provide integrated financial services such as lease financing, hire purchase financing, venture capital financing and portfolio investment.

In 1987 the company entered newer leasing of leasing contract for imported equipments vendor leasing hire purchase financing and hi-tech industry.

The company entered into institutional financing of consumer durables in the year 1989. The performance of the operational lease division was adversely affected due to detention of its vehicles at various loading and unloading points.
