Golden Carpets was registered as a private limited company vide Certificate of Incorporation No. 01 - 16672 on December 2, 1993 with the Registrar of Companies, Andhra Pradesh. It was subsequently converted into a public limited company on January 19, 1995 vide special resolution dated December 21, 1994 in terms of Section 31(1)/44 of the Companies Act, 1956.

Golden Carpets, in technical collaboration with Belgium, unveiled a new revolution in the woven carpet industry, supported with state-of-the-art CRM looms. Golden carpets with its modern looms, has computerized electronic jacquard with incorporated weaving technology.
