Dhampur Bio Organics Limited (DBOL) is a leading, integrated sugarcane processing company in India. It manufactures refined and raw sugar, bio-fuels, biomass based renewable power and other related products. 2022 was a watershed year for Dhampur Bio Organics Ltd. As a result of its demerger, it has emerged in a new Avtar, with 90 years of legacy.

The strategic location of its plants, in traditional cane-rich areas and in close proximity to one another, gives it a catchment and logistical advantage. This helps ensure smooth cane supply and ease of production. Two of the company’s plants are equipped with capacities to produce 100% refined sugar, while the sugar mix at the third unit is guided by opportunities in the global market for exports and supply in domestic market.

Allahabad bench of NCLT, vide order dated April 27,2022 approved the Scheme of Arrangement between Dhampur Sugar Mills Limited (DSML 'Demerged Company') and DBOL for demerger of three manufacturing units ('Demerged Undertakings') with effect from Appointed Date i.e. April 01, 2021. The Scheme became effective on May 3, 2022 and consequent thereto, the entire business of Demerged Undertakings stand transferred and vested in the Company as a going concern with effect from Appointed Date. Pending full implementation of the scheme and transfer of requisite licences registration and agreements, certain transactions of Demerged Undertakings during the year are executed in the name of DSML but recorded in the books of DBOL as per the provision of the Scheme.

The company is primary engaged in the manufacturing of sugar, chemicals, ethanol, co-generation of power and other allied products at its three manufacturing units located at Asmoli, District Sambhal, Mansurpur, District Muzaffarnagar and Meerganj, District Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh.
