The company was originally incorporated at Chandigarh as “CHD Chemicals Private Limited” on November 5, 2012 under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1956. The company was converted into a Public Limited Company and consequently the name was changed to “CHD Chemicals Limited' vide fresh certificate of incorporation dated November 12, 2015 issued by the Registrar of Companies, Punjab and Chandigarh.

The company is a chemicals and dyes trading and distribution company with a diverse product portfolio. It is in the trading business since its inception. It has been evolved by acquisition of Chandigarh Chemical Inc., which was a sole proprietorship firm of Satyaveer Singh Kothari a member of its promoter group.
