Brigade Enterprises (BEL) was originally set up as a partnership firm between M R Jaishankar and Gita Shankar in 1990. BEL was converted into a private company in 1995 and a public company in July 2007. The company has established itself as one of India’s premier real estate firms. Brigade has established Asia’s first PropTech accelerator program, Brigade REAP, which was recognized by Startup India as the No. 1 accelerator program in the country.
