Avenue Supermarts (ASL) incorporated in year in 2002 is Mumbai based supermarket chain D-Mart. It was started by Mr. Radhakishan Damani and his family. From the launch of its first store in Powai in 2002, DMart has a well-established presence in various locations across India.

The company is among the largest and the most profitable F&G retailer in India. It offers a wide range of products with a focus on the Foods, Non-Foods (FMCG) and General Merchandise & Apparel product categories. It has many stores located across several cities in India. The company operates and manages all its stores. It also operates distribution centres and packing centres which form the backbone of the supply chain to support its retail store network.

The company was started to address the growing needs of the Indian family. It is a one-stop supermarket chain that aims to offer customers a wide range of basic home and personal products under one roof. Each DMart store stocks home utility products - including food, toiletries, beauty products, garments, kitchenware, bed and bath linen, home appliances and more - available at competitive prices that its customers appreciate. Its core objective is to offer customers good products at great value.

Avenue Supermarts offers varied, everyday-use items to its customers with a prudent product mix. The products on offer at its stores can be broadly classified into three categories - Foods, Non-foods, and General Merchandise & Apparel.

  • Align Retail Trades (ARTPL): ARTPL, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, incorporated on September 22, 2006, is engaged in the business of packing and selling of grocery products, spices, dry fruits, etc.
  • Avenue Food Plaza (AFPPL): AFPPL, a wholly-owned subsidiary Company, was incorporated on June 08, 2004. It is engaged in the business of operating food outlets at DMart stores.
  • Avenue E-Commerce (AEL): AEL, a subsidiary Company, incorporated on November 11, 2014 is engaged in the business of online and multi-channel grocery retail under the brand name of DMart Ready. AEL allows its customers to order a broad range of grocery and household products through its mobile app and website www.dmart.in.
  • Nahar Seth & Jogani Developers (NSJDPL): NSJDPL, a subsidiary of the Company, was incorporated on February 21, 2014, with main object of, amongst others, development of land and construction.
  • Reflect Healthcare and Retail (RHRPL): RHRPL, a wholly-owned subsidiary Company, was incorporated on May 28, 2018 as Reflect Wholesale and Retail. The name of the Company was changed from Reflect Wholesale and Retail to Reflect Healthcare and Retail w.e.f. September 15, 2022. The company is in the business of operating pharmacy stores.

  • 2001: The Company was incorporated as Avenue Supermarts.
  • 2003: The Company opened its first store in Powai, Mumbai.
  • 2005: The Company entered into a scheme of amalgamation for transfer of undertakings of Koop Consumer Services, Amodini Real Estates and Shoppers Delight to the company.
  • 2007: The Company opened its first store in Gujarat.2010 The store count of the Company increased to 25 stores and their audited consolidated revenues exceeded Rs 10,000 million.

  • 2017 : The Company opened a store in the National Capital Region.
  • 2018: The company has incorporated wholly owned subsidiary named ‘Reflect Wholesale and Retail’.
  • 2020: The company converts two stores into fulfilment centres for e-commerce business.
  • 2021: The company purchases retail space in Bengaluru.
  • 2021: Avenue Supermarts opens new store in Haryana.
  • 2022: The company reports 18% rise in standalone revenue in Q4FY22.
  • 2023: Avenue Supermarts opens new store at Akola.
  • 2023: The company opens new store in Ahmedabad.
  • 2023: The company purchases 17 retail units in Mumbai.
  • 2023: Avenue Supermarts opens new store in Rajasthan.
  • 2024: The company invests Rs 100 crore in Avenue E-Commerce.
  • 2024: Avenue Supermarts completes acquisition of 26% stake in FP Ampere Energy.
  • 2024: The company opens new store in Punjab.
  • 2025: Avenue Supermarts makes further investment in Avenue E-Commerce.
  • 2025: Avenue Supermarts opens new store in Andhra Pradesh.
