Asian Hotels incorporated in 1980, caters to the needs of the hospitality sector. In their initial years, Asian Hotels was promoted by three NRIs namely Mr. R.S. Saraf, Mr. R.K. Jatia, Late Mr. Chaman Lal Gupta together with two Indian associates Mr. Sushil Gupta and Mr. Shiv Jatia. In 2010 Company has changed its name from Asian Hotels Ltd. to Asian Hotels (North) Ltd.
The company is engaged in the business of running 5 star deluxe hotels under the name Hyatt Regency. The company set up Hyatt Regency Delhi in 1982 for the purpose of Asian Games. But later hotel started full fledged commercial operation by 1983.
The company started commercial operation of Hyatt Regency Kolkata in January 2003. Later in the same year in April, the company commenced Hyatt Regency Mumbai.
The company has four wholly owned subsidiaries namely Chillwinds Hotels, Vardhman Hotels and Aria Hotels and Consultancy Services and GJS Hotels. Hyatt Regency provides a wide range of services in hospitality segment such as dining room, salon, swimming pool, SPA, fitness centre, business centre and many more
The company has also forayed into business of power generation by setting up two wind turbines in the year 2008.
