About Company

Bajaj Energy Ltd. (BEL) and Lalitpur Power Generation Company Ltd. (LPGCL) are leading private-sector thermal generation companies operating in Uttar Pradesh, India. Their primary focus lies in the development, financing, and operation of thermal power plants. BEL possesses a total installed capacity of 2,430 MW, with 450 MW generated by its five coal-based thermal power plants located across five sites in Uttar Pradesh. These plants, known as the "BEL Power Plants," contribute significantly to BEL's overall capacity. Additionally, LPGCL owns and operates a power plant with a capacity of 1,980 MW, referred to as the "LPGCL Power Plant."In the pursuit of expansion and leveraging the proceeds obtained from the IPO offer, BEL intends to acquire LPGCL completely in the future. This strategic move is aimed at further enhancing BEL's market presence and reinforcing its position in the thermal power generation sector. The successful acquisition of LPGCL will consolidate BEL's assets, expertise, and operational capabilities, enabling them to effectively meet the growing demand for thermal power in Uttar Pradesh and contribute to the state's energy requirements.
