Special Live Trading Session Scheduled For Saturday March 02, 2024
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) are conducting a special live trading session on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, in both the Equity and F&O (Futures & Options) segments.
Purpose: Intraday switch over from the Primary site to the Disaster Recovery site (DR Site).
WHAT IS PRIMARY SITE & DR SITE?
Primary Site: This serves as the central hub for daily stock exchange operations, equipped with all necessary tools and software for trading activities.
Disaster Recovery (DR) Site: This functions as a backup facility, mirroring the primary site with identical equipment and software configurations. It is designed to smoothly assume trading operations in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, power outages, or technical failures at the primary site.
The session will be carried out in two phases:

Points to be Noted
- Currency and Commodity (MCX) markets will remain shut.
- F&O credits (like option premiums received, marked-to-market profits, intraday gains, etc.) and intraday equity profits from March 1st will not be available to trade for the special trading session due to the settlement holiday.
- Intraday trading will be blocked for both sessions.
- Any AMO (After Market Orders) placed on Friday, 1st March 2024, will be executed on Saturday, 2nd March 2024.
